NYC Retina is home to New York’s leading retina specialist team. These highly trained ophthalmology subspecialists focus on the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of vitreoretinal conditions. Treated conditions include retinal detachment, retinal tears/holes, posterior vitreous detachment, floaters, diabetic retinopathy, macular edema, vitreous hemorrhage, macular degeneration, macular holes, epiretinal membrane, posterior posterior uveitis, pediatric retinal diseases, dislocated intraocular lenses, and eye trauma.
Our Retina Specialists offer extended hours including before and after work. We are available for emergencies.

Dr. Constance Mei is the senior vitreoretinal surgery fellow at NYC Retina and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. At Jamaica Hospital, Dr. Mei is relied upon to teach the residents and staff the retina clinic each week, under the mentorship of Dr. Julia Shulman. Prior to fellowship, Dr. Mei completed her ophthalmology residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was chief resident. Dr. Mei completed her medical school and internship at University at Buffalo School of Medicine.
She is fluent in Cantonese and conversational in Mandarin Chinese.
Jonathan Feistmann, MD
Jonathan Feistmann, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon. Dr. Feistmann completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Florida and completed his retina fellowship training at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan.
Julia Shulman, MD
Dr. Shulman is a board certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon. Dr. Shulman graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where she was chief resident, and completed her retina fellowship at Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah.
Dr. Constance Mei
