Rachel S. Mogil, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist. Dr. Mogil completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University. She graduated from the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell while also pursuing a research fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. She went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute, followed by a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Mayo Clinic, where she also served as Clinical Instructor. She has presented at several national meetings including Women in Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Vit-Buckle Society. Dr. Mogil has authored several textbook chapters and original manuscripts in various peer-reviewed journals including Retinal Cases and Brief Reports, the Journal of Glaucoma, American Journal of Ophthalmology, and JAMA Ophthalmology. Dr. Mogil is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), Women in Ophthalmology (WIO), and the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS).
