Meet Jonathan Hu, MD
Dr. Hu has expertise in all aspects of retinal surgery including complex retinal detachments, secondary intraocular lens cases, and diabetic vitrectomy.
Jonathan Hu, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon. Dr. Hu began his higher education at Harvard University where he graduated Cum Laude. He earned his Doctor of Medicine with academic honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. He completed his Internship at Cornell University and his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Florida. He completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Hu has presented at international meetings including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He has been involved with clinical trials for age-related macular degeneration. He has authored numerous articles on vitreoretinal disease with a specific focus on surgical outcomes.
Dr. Hu has served as a clinical instructor at Kresge Eye Institute and enjoys actively participating in the training of ophthalmology residents.
