A big thank you to Dr. Feistmann for helping my dad to recover his left side eyesight from macular degeneration. Below is my mother’s testimony in Chinese.
At the beginning of this year, my husband complained that his left eye was unclear and distorted. We quickly went to see the ophthalmology department. After all the examinations, the doctor said that it was a retinal tear, which could be repaired by surgery, or it would be better after a while. When I heard the operation, Mr. was very resistant and didn’t want to do it. But the doctor introduced the surgery expert Dr. Feistmann to us. After half a month, the situation seemed to be getting worse and worse. Even sitting across the table, the gentleman saw me like a strange person, eyes and nose were recessed. We decided to go see the doctor – listen to his opinion. Dr.Feistmann carefully completed the examination, recommended surgery, and introduced the condition of the eye, the details of the operation, and the success rate of the operation, so that we can feel the expertise of Dr. Feismann. With the heart of the doctor, we have a lot of peace of mind. After returning home, Mr. still had some concerns. The children went to the doctor to check the doctor’s introduction. They knew that they were experienced top ophthalmologists, and they were very experienced and successful in doing such surgery. We have confidence and decided to have surgery.
4/26/18, the day of surgery, early in the morning, we came to the Long Island Eye Center, the comfortable environment, the enthusiasm and care of the medical staff, all make people feel at ease. About 45 minutes after Mr. entered the operating room, we saw that he was drinking juice. The doctor told us that the operation was very smooth. Just go back and follow the instructions to rest. We are all relieved.
After returning home, the gentleman followed the doctor’s instructions. After a week, he was able to see things slowly and everyone was very happy!
Now that he has resumed normal work and life, I am no longer alien. Thank you very much Dr. Feistmann for his superb medical skills, so that my husband can see the light and have a normal life. I am really grateful!!

今年初，我先生抱怨說，他的左眼看東西不清楚，變形。我們便趕緊去看眼科，醫生做完所有檢查後，說是視網膜撕裂，可做手術修補，亦可過段時間會變好些。一聽要做手術，先生心裏很抗拒，不想做。但醫生還是介紹了手術專家Dr.Feistmann給我們。過了半個月，情況好像越來越差，就算坐在桌子對面，先生看到的我就像異形人，眼睛，鼻子都凹進去了。我們決定去見一見——醫生，聽聽他的意見。Dr.Feistmann仔細做完檢查後，建議要做手術，而且很詳細地介紹了眼睛的狀況，手術的細節，而且對手術的成功率很有把握，讓我們很感覺到Dr.Feistmann醫生的專業知識和醫者的仁心，我們心安了很多。回家後先生還是有些顧慮，兒女們便上綱查看了醫生的介紹，知道是經驗豐富的頂尖的眼科醫生，而且做這樣的手術非常有經驗及成功率很高。我們便有信心了，決定做手術。
4/26/18，手術的日子，一大早，我們來到長島眼科中心，舒適的環境，醫護人員的熱情細心，都讓人很安心。先生進入手術室約45分鐘後，我們便已看到他在飲果汁了，醫生告訴我們，手術很順利，回家後只要按照吩附休息即可。我們都松了一口氣。
回家後，先生很遵從医生的吩附，一星期後，他已慢慢地能看清楚東西了，大家都很開心!
現在，他己恢復正常的工作和生活了，我不再是異形了。真是好多謝Dr.Feistmann醫生髙明精湛的醫術，讓我先生重見光明及擁有正常的生活。真的衷心地感激!!
